Meet Our Founder

As the founder of Ujjas Mahila Sangathan, I, Javjiba Rangubha Jadeja, am proud to share our journey. Ujjas Mahila Sangathan started in 1989, mobilizing 8000 women during cyclones and earthquakes, providing them support and solidarity. In 2008, we shifted our focus to women's economic empowerment, recognizing the importance of financial independence. Today, Ujjas Mahila Sangathan has promoted 32 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) with over 15000 women, empowering them to take charge of their economic lives. With the support of Deendayal Port Authority, we launched Deendayal Mahila Sashaktikarana Kendra on March 8, 2025, providing training and support to women. 1437 women have received training, and our second generation is leading the way, taking on leadership roles and driving change. The leadership of our women is emerging, and I'm thrilled to see the progress. The strength of Ujjas Mahila Sangathan lies in its collective power, and I'm confident that together, we can achieve even more. Let's work together and move forward, empowering more women and building a stronger community.

It is a matter of pride that DMSK is launching its official website, marking an important milestone in its journey of community engagement and women empowerment.The 15 Women Centres operated by DMSK, supported under the CSR initiatives of Deendayal Port Authority, are contributing significantly towards skill development, livelihood generation and socio-economic upliftment of women. These centres are enabling beneficiaries to move towards self-reliance with confidence and dignity. The launch of the website reflects a forward-looking approach aimed at enhancing transparency, improving outreach and strengthening stakeholder engagement. It will serve as a comprehensive platform to present the initiatives, progress and impact of the Women Centres. Deendayal Port Authority remains committed to supporting meaningful and sustainable social development initiatives that create lasting value for the community.
